Group of friends known as Umu-Aba Connect says they are committed to investing their resources in ensuring that the star in Aba fashion parade boy blossoms.
One Kingsley Kosisochukwu Joseph had boldly joined a fashion parade show at Aba Fashion Week (AFW-23) held at Brass Junction, Aba-Owerri road.
This is the boldness that attracted members of Umu-Aba Connect Association in developing interest in the welfare of young Joseph through their president, Dr Chima Anyaso.

Speaking with ABN TV, the President of the association and Founder Ofuji Movement, Dr. Chima Anyaso said, “He was not part of the show, he was probably just watching, like in those days when we used to gather to watch those herbal dealers display.
“That was what that move reminded us, to find out that the boy was not part of the participant and he on his own felt that if all these persons wearing these fine clothes, shoes, and good haircuts can do it, I also as deprived and less privileged that I am, I can do it.
“He went on that runway, and luckily, the camera captured him. By God’s grace, he is going to places because there is a star in him and there is a light we saw, we want to make sure that that light does not diminish. He want to help him to bring out the star in him”.
Dr. Anyaso during the end-of-year meeting of the association in Lagos officially introduced Joseph who equally agreed to go back to school despite aiming to become a comedian.
The boy is said to be a pure water hawker who lives in an uncompleted building without his parents after dropping out at primary four.
Dr. Anyaso revealed that the aims and objectives of the association is anchored on giving back to the Aba society from where members had their roots before succeeding in their various endeavours.
The association he said has raised a large sum of money, but did not disclose the actual figure as he has not been furnished with it.
He said plans have been completed for young Joseph to go back to school in Aba.
