Umahi Hails Tinubu’s Victory, Says Lagos Ex-Governor Will Lead Nigeria To Positive Trajectory

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has congratulated president Elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for winning the country’s presidential race.

The governor in a statement he signed yesterday in Abakaliki, the state capital, described Tinubu as a leader with the burning desire to provide practical leadership to set Nigeria on a positive trajectory.

He said Tinubu would replicate his achievements in the country as he did as governor of Lagos State, adding that Nigerians have no doubt that he would bring to bear his wealth of experience, exposure and global contact to work to satisfy the aspirations of Nigerians.

Umahi said, “We the people of Ebonyi State profoundly felicitate with the president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the vice president-elect, Ibrahim Shettima for emerging victorious at the just-concluded 2023 presidential polls.”

The governor who is the senator-elect for Ebonyi South senatorial zone said the people of the state believes in the efficacy of his campaign promises, adding that Tinubu’s brilliant campaign which was issue- based and leadership convictions made the electorates to see the charming heart of a leader with the burning desire to provide practical leadership.

“We congratulate the National Working Committee of our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) ably led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu and indeed the APC family across the nation for the tenacity and unity of purpose that “saw us through in the keenly contested presidential election.”
