Udensi Urges South East Govs To Support Soludo, Says Nnamdi Kanu’s Release Will Pave Way For National Healing (VIDEO)

Following the recent visit of Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Soludo to the detained leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS facility in Abuja, Interpol Systems Consultant Sir Chikwe Udensi has called on the South East governors to support and partner their Anambra counterpart to ensure that a political solution is provided to secure the release on the IPOB leader.

He said the release of Nnamdi Kanu will be a watershed to national healing as well as solution to some of the challenges confronting the South East region at the moment especially insecurity.

Featuring on a radio programme, Open Parliament of Love FM Umuahia monitored by ABN TV on Wednesday, Udensi a governorship aspirant in Abia expressed displeasure that the governors of South East region have not deemed it necessary to visit the embattled Nnamdi Kanu since his incarceration.

While applauding the governors and leaders of South West for visiting Sunday Igboho in Benin Republic where he was being held, Sir Udensi a chieftain of APGA said such was not seen among the governors of South East till a recent move by Prof. Soludo.

He underlined that only a political solution is needed to set Nnamdi Kanu free from the charges of terrorism brought against him by the federal government.

The governorship hopeful said the people of the South East are the greatest losers with Nnamdi Kanu’s continuous detention, stating that criminal elements are taking advantage of his detention to unleash mayhem on innocent citizens in addition to the sit-at-home that has crippled commercial activities in the region.

Udensi noted that Nnamdi Kanu’s release will help in identifying the true agitators and opportunistic criminal elements perpetrating crimes in the South East.

We encourage Gov. Soludo to go further because they have given him several recommendations on what can be done to ensure that this issue is sorted politically. It is not a matter for the law, let us solve it politically, make sure the young man comes out.

“If Nnamdi Kanu is released, we will now commence a process of healing the nation. If equality, equity and fairness are entrenched, it is the only way we can have a peaceful society.

“If there is inequality, if there is unfairness in the society, there cannot be peace. What you see happen today is as a result of lack of cohesion of the leaders. We need proper leaders in Abia, South East and in Nigeria. With this, we can be sure of a better society,” he said.
