Udensi Congratulates Gov. Otti On Supreme Court Victory, Says It’s Time For More Dividends Of Democracy

A security consultant with the Inter-Pol systems, Sir Chikwe Udensi has congratulated the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti on his victory at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court in a lead judgment on Friday read by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji held that the appellants (PDP and APC) failed to prove substantial non-compliance in their appeal.

The apex court faulted the appellants for bringing the appeal to the court, tagging it as frivolous and vexatious.

Alex Otti had scored 175,466 votes to defeat Okey Ahiwe of the PDP, who polled 88,529 votes in the election early last year.

Reacting to the decision of the Supreme Court, Sir Udensi in an interaction with ABN TV on Saturday said the affirmation of Otti’s election is affirmation of the will of the people of Abia State.

According to Sir Udensi, the governor has successfully weathered the storm of distraction caused by the myriads of litigation, which started from the tribunal, and eventually ended in the Supreme Court.

He expressed satisfaction with the steps taken so far by the Governor to redefine governance since May last year when he was sworn-in.

Sir Udensi expressed confidence that with the litigations laid to rest, Abians will have more to reap in terms of dividends of democracy in the state.

He therefore urged the people of the state to continually offer their support to the Governor, expressing hope that he would tackle the years of rot that has held the state by the jugular.
