UCY Model School Ohafia Set To Honour Outstanding Students With Award

A leading private school in Ohafia, Abia State, UCY Model School has concluded arrangements to honour some of its students who have shown outstanding performance in their academics in an effort to encourage others.

The special award ceremony slated to take place on July 14 will have students in the categories of gold, silver, and bronze recognised with awards of excellence.

Speaking with ABN TV, the College President of the school, Mazi Uche Uduma Ukoha said the initiative which seeks to create a healthy competition among students will have parents and guardians in attendance to have first-hand information on the efforts UCY Model School is making in imparting knowledge on their children and wards.

While expressing gratitude to parents and guardians for having confidence in the school, the President assured that UCY Model School will continue to build quality pupils and students who will be adequately prepared to face the future.

The academic institution consists of a nursery, primary and secondary schools.

Mazi Ukoha said part of his decision to site the school in his hometown Ohafia is in an effort to give back to his community in order to raise future academic giants.

The school which came into existence in 2012 has remained outstanding in external examinations like NECO and WAEC.

It also has state of an art computer room and science laboratory.

It also has a well-furnished hostel for boys and girls in a serene environment with a constant power supply and security.

It is located at 36/38 UCY Friends Road, Ebem Ohafia, Abia State.
