Tyre Spikes Introduced In Oyo To Prevent Wrong-Way Drivers [VIDEO]

One-way tire spikes have been installed by the Oyo State Government to discourage driving in the wrong direction.

A viral video making the rounds on social media showcases the new enforcement tool in action. The spikes are designed to puncture the tires of vehicles attempting to go against traffic, ensuring stricter adherence to road regulations.

Sharing the footage on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, OyoAffairs stated, “To prevent motorists from driving the wrong way on one-way roads, the Oyo State Government has started installing ‘One-Way Tyre Spikes.’ This one here is located along Idi-Ape.”

However, the state government has yet to issue an official statement regarding the widespread implementation of the measure.
