Two Feared Dead, Vehicles Razed As Unknown Gunmen Strike In Enugu [PHOTOS]

Gunmen invaded security office at Central Body Neighbourhood Watch, Ogrute, Enugu-Ezike, Igbo–Eze North LGA, Enugu State around 1am this morning.

Two security personnel including their former Commander were killed, others were injured. Patrol vehicles and office burnt.

The entire South-East region has been engulfed in a security crisis for several months now. Several high profile assassinations have occurred with the latest being that of Dr Chike Akunyili, husband of late NAFDAC DG, Dora Akunyili.

The heavily armed hoodlums destroyed several facilities and burnt down every vehicle in sight. It currently unclear the motive for the attack. Efforts to reach the state police command proved abortive.
