Two Arraigned On Alleged Defamation Post On Gov Ganduje

Two persons, Mubarak Muhammad and Nazifi Bala were on Wednesday arraigned before Kano Magistrate Court 58 Noman’s land Kano, for alleged defamation of character against the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

According to First Information Report, the duo in a video, posted on Facebook that the governor did not see land without selling it and that he slept a lot.

After the First Information Report was read over to the defendants, they pleaded guilty to the content.

The Prosecutor, Ahmad Wada, Principal State Counsel, Kano State Ministry of Justice, applied for summary trial of the two defendants.

The court found them guilty as charged and adjourned the matter to November 7, 2022 for sentence.
