Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel, will serve a one-match ban against Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Tuchel will serve his one-game touchline ban after he was sent off during the quarter-final second-leg clash with Manchester City in April.

Bayern were eliminated that night following a 1-1 draw on the night, losing 4-1 on aggregate.

The Bundesliga champions will begin this new campaign against United at the Allianz Arena.

It will be the first time the two sides have met in the Champions League since 2014, when they went head-to-head in the quarter-final.

On that occasion, Bayern ran out 3-1 winners – 4-2 on aggregate – to book their place in the last four.
