French international Theo Hernández is on the brink of joining Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal, with a transfer agreement now finalized between the Saudi side and AC Milan, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 26-year-old left-back is expected to sign his contract in the coming days, following a verbal agreement reached two weeks ago. AC Milan will receive a reported €25 million fee for the defender.
Romano confirmed the deal on Monday, stating, “Theo Hernández to Al Hilal, here we go! Agreement now being sealed after a verbal pact was made two weeks ago.
AC Milan will receive a €25m transfer fee as Theo will sign his contract in the upcoming days. New left back for Simone Inzaghi.”
Hernández, who joined Milan from Real Madrid in 2019, quickly became one of the club’s top performers. He played a crucial role in their Serie A title-winning campaign in 2021/22.
His departure signals a major shift in Milan’s defensive lineup ahead of the new season, while Al Hilal continues to bolster its squad with high-profile European talent under new manager Simone Inzaghi.
