Tragedy In Imo As Ex-IBC Boss, Okere Stabs Wife To Death

It was a dark Monday as a former Director-General of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Sir T.C. Okere allegedly stabbed his wife of 50 years to death Monday morning.

The tragic event which took place at Imerenwe community in Ngor-Okpala local government area of Imo State has left community members in disarray.

The murdered wife is said to have retired from Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo.

While the circumstances that led to her death remain unknown as at the time of filing this report, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, confirmed that the suspect is on the run.

According to the Spokesman, investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the incident.

‘It is true that the former Director-General of the state-owned broadcasting corporation TC Okere allegedly stabbed the wife to death this morning and the command will soon commence an investigation into the matter.’
