Tokyo 2020 Basketball: ‘D’Tigers Have A Long Way To Go’ – Coach Brown

D’Tigers head coach Mike Brown says his team has a long way to go if they hope to rub shoulders with the best basketball playing nations.

Brown stated this following D’Tigers’ defeat to Australia in their opening group game at the Tokyo 2020.

Ahead of the games, D’Tigers recorded impressive wins against USA and Argentina in their exhibition games.

However, after a keenly contested affair the Australians ran out winners 84-67.

And reacting to the defeat Brown said victories against USA and Argentina was not enough to believe D’Tigers have arrived.

“Because we beat team USA and Argentina, everyone thinks we have arrived. No we haven’t. We still have a long way to go.”

Brown and his players will hope to bounce back from the defeat to Australia when they face Germany on Wednesday.
