Tinubu’s Ambassadorial Nomination Taught Me Forgiveness — Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri says President Bola Tinubu’s decision to nominate him as an ambassador-designate has deepened his understanding of forgiveness and renewed his sense of patriotism.

In a statement shared on Sunday via X, Omokri expressed gratitude to God, his family, and President Tinubu, describing the president’s gesture as a powerful act of leadership rooted in unity and national healing.

“I thank God Almighty for this nomination and look forward to serving my fatherland and humanity. I am particularly grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary and exemplary leadership,” he said, noting that Tinubu’s approach to governance had reshaped his outlook on national service.

“The President has taught me the meaning of forgiveness and has helped me better understand what patriotism entails,” Omokri added. “In short, Christlikeness is demonstrated in him. He is the right man, at the right time, for the right job, and deserves the right hand of fellowship from all Nigerians.”

He prayed for God’s blessings on Tinubu and for the country to flourish under his administration.

Omokri also thanked his parents, Esijolomi and Omerewumi, for shaping his character, and praised National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, whom he described as a “personification of virtue.”

He further expressed deep appreciation to his wife, Hana, for standing by him through challenging political seasons. “She has been a pillar by my side and helped settle my mind for the three years that enemies of the President made me their foe because of my support for him and loyalty to Nigeria,” he said.

In a separate message on X, former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode also thanked President Tinubu for nominating him to serve as an ambassador, calling the appointment a great honor and giving “glory to God.”
