Some supporters of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday said their principal will replicate the model he used in transforming Lagos State in FCT and other parts of the country if he becomes president.
They spoke on Saturday at a public lecture titled, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu: On The March Again” organised by Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), Lagos State chapter.
The DOJ is a support group which has been championing Tinubu’s presidency even before he made his formal declaration.
The guest lecturer, Prince Jacob Olutayo Solanke, dismissed various insinuations around Tinubu bothering on his state of health, educational qualification and his capacity, assuring that Tinubu would surpass the achievements recorded in Lagos as governor between 1999 and 2007.
According to him, while none of his supporters sees Tinubu as a saint, the presidential candidate towered above other contestants in the race. “Nobody under the sun is a saint,” he said.
He said, “Asiwaju made Lagos the envy of other states in this country. Under Tinubu, Lagos witnessed a colossal leap from grass to grace.
“If this is repeated in the 35 states and the FCT, the development would be universal.”
