The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has donated N50 million to Jigawa State flood victims.
Asiwaju announced the donation yesterday at Government House, Dutse, while on a visit to Governor Badaru Abubakar.
“I’m here to commiserate with the government and people of the state, more especially the victims and those who lost loved ones and their belongings to the disaster,” he said.
“Flood disaster is an act of God Almighty. This token is just to relieve the victims, not compensate them.
“When we heard about the disaster and the level of damage, we made it necessary to come personally to commiserate with our brothers and sisters and show our concern, togetherness and brotherhood”.
Tinubu urged the victims to submit to God Almighty, asking Him to prevent future occurrence.
Governor Abubakar thanked the presidential candidate for the visit and donation.
