On Wednesday, a group of thugs allegedly attacked peaceful protesters in Port Harcourt, leaving several individuals injured, including popular Nigerian singer, Sky B, ABN TV reports.
Eyewitnesses report that the protesters were exercising their right to peaceful assembly when the hoodlums descended upon them, causing chaos and violence. Sky B, known for his hit songs, was among those beaten by the attackers.
The motive behind the attack is still unclear, but it has sparked widespread condemnation from human rights groups and citizens alike.
