There’s Hope For Ndigbo In APC, Says Chekwas Okorie

The founder of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Chekwas Okorie, on Saturday, said there is hope for Ndigbo in the APC.

Speaking in Awka, the state capital, when scores of members of the United Progressives Party joined the APC, Okorie said, “I entered the APC long ago in spirit. In 2018, the National Executive Council of the UPP held a meeting and supported (President Muhammadu) Buhari, so he could complete his term.

“We are hopeful that with Buhari completing his tenure, everyone is driving to the South-East for the next president of the country. We have long been allies of Okwuosa. He joined us to go to Daura to support Buhari.’’

Chief Okorie backed the Anambra State governorship ambition of the All Progressive Congress’ Chief Azuka Okwuosa in the November 6 poll.

Okorie, who was the national chairman of the UPP, Okorie explained that he knew Okwuosa through the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu in the early 1990s.
