In a significant milestone in the fight against terrorism and insurgency, the Theatre Command Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has graduated 157 personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in weapon handling training.
The ceremony, which took place on Saturday, 4 May 202 Animator at Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri, marked the successful completion of a comprehensive training program aimed at equipping personnel with the necessary skills to combat the security challenges in the North East theatre of operations.
Theatre Commander Major General Waidi Shaibu emphasized the importance of discipline, physical fitness, teamwork, and mental resilience in preparing personnel for the rigors of combat and the demands of service.
He acknowledged the significant contributions of sister security agencies and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to address the security challenges.
The trainees were charged to remain committed and utilize the knowledge and skills acquired to contribute meaningfully in eradicating the menace. The ceremony featured presentations of certificates, practical demonstrations, and a group photograph.
This development is a significant boost to the fight against insurgency and terrorism in the region, and it is expected to enhance the capacity of the NSCDC personnel to respond effectively to emerging security challenges.
