Tears, Emotions As Chief Okwara Osonwa Laid To Rest (Photos, Video)

A renowned philanthropist and community leader, Chief Okwara Osonwa Okwara was on Saturday laid to rest at his home town Ebem Ohafia in Ohafia local government area of Abia state amidst tears from family, friends, and well-wishers.

ABN TV reports that The late Osonwa, a retired top management staff of NNPC was said to have served his community and assisted many members to achieve their potentials in life.

Who is who, prominent Abians including the deputy governor, Oko Chukwu, The Prelate and Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Nzie Nsi Eke, Amb. Empire Kanu traditional rulers, sons and daughters of Ebem from within and outside the country were in attendance.

Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu was at the event represented by a former deputy chief of staff to Abia state government, Dr. Madukwe Ukaegbu.
