The management and staff of SUN FM 91.3 Igbere have been thrown into deep mourning following the sudden death of one of their cherished On-Air Personalities (OAP), Ambassador Kel J Madubuike, a native of Acha in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State.
In a heartfelt statement issued by the station’s management, Amb. Madubuike was described as a dedicated broadcaster whose passion for his job and cheerful personality endeared him to colleagues, listeners, and fans across the state.
According to the statement, the vibrant presenter passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, after a brief illness. His untimely death, the management noted, has created a deep void in the SUN FM family and the media community at large.
“With a heavy heart and great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of one of our own, Amb. Kel J Madubuike… His demise has left a deep vacuum and left us in deep mourning. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones and friends at this difficult time,” the station wrote.
The management further prayed for the repose of his soul, adding that “May his memory be a blessing to us all.”
The late Amb. Kel J Madubuike, fondly called Kel J Baba, was known for his engaging on-air presence, creativity, humility, and immense contribution to the growth of SUN FM 91.3.
