The ongoing distribution of free educational materials attracted by Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in all the local government areas of the Senatorial district has now arrived Umunneochi local government area, ABN TV reports.
The event was officially flagged off at Lokpanta secondary school Umuchieze.
The pupils, teachers, and parents could not hold their joy over the Senate Chief Whip’s gesture as they welcomed Barr Victor Etie the Legislative Aide to the senator who was accompanied by Honourable Maduka Okoro and some stakeholders from Umunneochi LGA, from Lokpanta secondary school, the team went to Eziama model secondary school Lokpaukwu, Obinolu secondary technical school Ngodo and Isuochi secondary school at Nkwoagu.
The senator through his legislative Aide informed the pupils and teachers that education is the right of every child and therefore this project is aimed at making education affordable and accessible to Abia children, recalling that during his time as governor, Abia children enjoyed free Education at all levels
The pupils and teachers spoke glowingly on the antecedent of the Senator and prayed for God’s immense blessings and protection on Sen Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu.
Various Educational materials ranging from different textbooks, writing materials, school bags Exercise books were shared to the students.
Distribution of the materials has been on for some months with several of the local governments already benefitted so far.
