Alright My dear readers, do u know that replying You are Welcome when people thank you for good deeds is no longer the best and unique way to respond?
Relax I will share with you some of the tips I got from my mentor on Diction and Vocabulary, the famous Jessica Okafor. Read till finish u will get a lot of value.
We know that it’s polite to say “Thank you” to someone who has done something good to or for us.
But did you know that “You’re welcome” isn’t the only way to respond when someone acknowledges your goodness
Sometimes, you seem to lack words to use when acknowledging someone’s appreciation.
Here are some other words you can substitute “you are welcome” with:
Anytime
Sure
It’s okay
Never mention
Glad to have helped
It’s all gray
Cool
Not at all
My pleasure
You got it
It was nothing
Not a problem
Don’t mention it
No worries
I’m happy to help
Happy to serve you
Glad to be of any assistance
Oh anytime
Of course
It’s alright
All of these phrases mean that the person was happy to help you and that you shouldn’t worry about thanking them. In other words, they mean, “You’re welcome!”
If you have gotten value, do share to help others gain more knowledge.
