Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth (OYC) Worldwide has berated the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development Sadiya Farouk, over a comment credited to her in which she allegedly said that Igbo should not expect anything in the ongoing stimulus package organised by the federal government to cushion the effect of lockdown due to coronavirus across the country.
OYC in a release signed by the President-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and the Secretary-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike demanded the immediate sack and arrest of the minister for allegedly saying, “Igbos and people in the South, should not expect any money from Federal Government to cushion effects of the coronavirus since Igbos want Biafra”.
The group insists that this is in contravention of her oath of office to uphold the collective interests of Nigerians against nepotistic considerations.
They also urge Igbo across the country to be resilient in the face of threats.
