St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish is set to celebrate the Centenary of Catholicism in Amuzukwu alongside the dedication of its newly constructed church building.
This historic event, marking 100 years of Catholic presence in the community, will take place on Saturday, 30th November 2024, at the church premises.
The celebration will feature a special Thanksgiving Mass at 10:00 AM, to be presided over by His Lordship, Most Rev. Michael Kalu Ukpong, the Bishop of Umuahia Diocese.
The event will be chaired by High Chief Onuoha Josephat Chuks (Oshimiri), under whose distinguished leadership the occasion will unfold. The program highlights the efforts of the parish leadership, including Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Henry C. Maduka (Parish Priest), Mr. Peter O. Uzoanya (Chairman, Parish Pastoral Council), Chief Sir P. I. Nweke (Chairman, Planning Committee), and Dr. Eleweanya N. P. (Secretary, Planning Committee), among others.
This milestone is a testament to the enduring faith and commitment of the Amuzukwu Catholic community, who have built a spiritual and physical home for worship and fellowship over the past century.
