Southern Governors Mourn Sen. Ubah, Say His Death Great Loss

The Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as shocking and a great loss to the country.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, in a condolence message to the people and government of Anambra State, said the lawmaker’s demise, coming just a few hours after that of the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has left a great void that will be difficult to fill.

Ubah, representing Anambra South Senatorial District, died in London on Saturday.

The SGF Chairman described Senator Ubah as a self-made man, a politician, business mogul, and philanthropist, who contributed his quota to the development of the nation.

He said the deceased as the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil was a major player in the oil industry while also contributing to the upliftment of the needy through his Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation.

“Today, we mourn the loss of a visionary leader and a true advocate for the people of Anambra State and Nigeria,” he said.
