South East Governors Fail In Security, Unity – Chikwe Udensi (Video)

INTERPOL consultant and security expert, Sir Chikwe Udensi, has expressed strong disapproval of the South East governors‘ handling of security and governance in the region.

Sir Chikwe Udensi

In a recent interview, Udensi painted a grim picture of the current security situation, particularly along the Enugu-Umuahia route, which he described as “the most dangerous access road in the country today.”

“It is a miracle to travel from one part of a village to another without being attacked,” he lamented, accusing the governors of failing to act on sound security advice provided to them. “We give them ideas free of charge, yet they throw them away,” he added.

Praising the success of Amotekun in the Southwest, which has significantly reduced crime in the region, Udensi questioned why the South East governors have not replicated such efforts. “Kidnapping and banditry in the Southwest have almost died off. Why can’t we replicate this success?” he asked.

Udensi also criticized the governors for their lack of unity and vision in governance, expressing disappointment in their inability to address pressing regional challenges. “They are not unified in ensuring we have a properly organized, united region,” he said.

He further condemned their interference in the leadership of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, alleging that their influence undermines transparency and fairness. “What could be their interest? What do they discuss in their so-called meetings when Nnamdi Kanu is still in detention and when a ₦16 trillion budget is announced without roads passing through the South East?” he queried.

The security expert called for a renewed focus on tackling insecurity and fostering regional development, urging South East governors to prioritize the safety and welfare of their people. “We need leadership that is proactive and united in addressing our challenges,” Udensi concluded.
