The president took his oath of office before Chief Justice of South Africa, Raymond Zondo.
“I Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa swear that I will be faithful to the Republic of South Africa, and will obey, observe, uphold and maintain the Constitution and all other law of the Republic,” the 71-year-old said.
His swearing-in witnessed dignitaries from all over Africa and the world including President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
