Senator Ireti Kingibe visited Trademore Estate Lugbe on Saturday, June 24, 2023, to sympathize with the residents over the flooding. The flood took a life and destroyed property, leaving many residents homeless.
Senator Kingibe expressed her condolences to the families of the victims and pledged her support to the affected residents. She said that she would work with the government to ensure that measures are taken to prevent future flooding.
ABN TV spoke with residents of Trademore Estate Lugbe who thanked Senator Kingibe for her visit and her support. They said that her visit has given them hope that they would be able to rebuild their lives.

A resident simply identified as Mr. Chibuisi said, “We are grateful to Senator Kingibe for her visit and her support. Her visit has given us hope that we will be able to rebuild our lives.”
Another resident said, “We are hopeful that the government will take action to prevent future flooding with this visit.”
About 116 houses were affected after an early morning rain flooded the Trademore Estate along Airport Road in Abuja.
The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, NIHSA, had predicted heavy flooding in the FCT.
