Sen. Orji Kalu Redeems Pledge To Catholic Church

Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Sunday redeemed his pledge to Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral Area 3 Garki Abuja.

ABN TV gathered that the redemption is in regards to N3 million pledge Sen. Kalu made to the Catholic men, women, youths and the officiating priest during Father’s Day Celebration recently as his contribution for the running of the Organizations

Sen. Kalu at the redemption of the pledge was represented by his aides, Peter Eze and Chief Emmanuel Omokwe.

The Church has since expressed its gratitude to the former Abia governor, saying it is a demonstration of his trustworthiness and respect for the body of Christ.

The Catholic faithful in a letter of appreciation signed by the General Secretary of Catholic Men Organization (CMO) and Chairman Parish Communication Committee, Sir Harrison Chukwuma Okeiyi KSJI have commended the Abia North senatorial district representative.

The letter partly reads, “Our sincere appreciation to you His excellency Sen. Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for fulfilling your promise of N3million to Catholic Man Organization (N1m), Catholic Women Organization (1m), Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (N500, 000) and Our Priest (N500, 000) at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-cathedral Area 3 Garki Abuja on Sunday 11th July 2021 during 10am Mass.

“Thanks for keeping your promise. It’s a sign of trust and respect. Keep it up sir. We pray God to always see you through. The Priests and the entire parish have you in our prayers May your paths be smoother than yesterday. Amen.” The church prayed.
