A chieftain of APC in Abia State, Chief Ndukwe Iko has expressed gratitude to God for the release of the former governor of the State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu from prison after the reversal of his conviction on Friday by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Chief Ndukwe in a release made available to ABN TV on Sunday said Kalu’s imprisonment was a clog on the wheel of his political journey, saying Sen. Kalu’s release has revived and restored the political machinery of the party in Abia North and the state in general.

He thanked God that what he called political vendetta has finally come to an end, insisting that Kalu’s prosecution and eventual conviction was politically motivated in order to deny the people of the South-East a voice in governance.
