Senate Chief Whip and the Senator representing Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu Saturday attended the burial ceremony of Mr. Friday Arunsi, a youth of Ebem Ohafia, who was killed by trigger-happy policemen during Covid-19 lockdown last year.
Senator Kalu at the mournful event was represented by D.G, OUK Movement, Rev Mrs. Jemaimah Ola Kalu.
Others present at the event are; The Media Aide to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon Maduka Okoro; Hon Steve Anagha Ezikpe Chairman OUK Movement Ohafia LGA; Barr. Okon, Barr Ayi Uma Mbila; Madam Ann Elendu; Madam Rose Ogbureke; Hon. Chief Lochi Agwu Ngam, Chief Ogboso, and other members of Reality Organization.
Kalu at the event handed a cash gift to the family to ameliorate the suffering it’s currently passing through as a result of the death of their breadwinner, Friday Arunsi.

He further assured that he would time to time reach out to the family to ascertain their state of welfare.
Recall that Sen. Kalu upon receiving the news of the death of Mr. Arunsi last year while he was incarcerated sent a powerful delegation on a condolence visit to the family where he also handed them a cash gift.
The Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, Eze Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP) expressed gratitude to Sen. Kalu for identifying with one constituent in a period of grief.
According to the Royal Father, Sen. Kalu has continued to keep close contact with the people of Ohafia especially in terms of carrying out developmental projects in the area that affect their lives.
He assured the former Abia governor of the support of the people of Ebem Ohafia as he keeps their welfare at the front burner in his legislative assignment at the National Assembly.
Earlier, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Janet Agbede has through her personal efforts reached out to the family as a way of lending support for the success of the burial.
