Sen. Kalu Preaches Tolerance, Love At Easter

Chief Whip of the Senate, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu has felicitated with christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, saying is yet another opportunity for sober reflection as individuals and as a nation.

Sen. Kalu, representing Abia North in a goodwill message on Sunday to mark the day also called for tolerance and respect for people’s values and beliefs for the sake of peace and unity.

He further urged Nigerians to embrace peace, love, forgiveness and togetherness in the spirit of the season.

While acknowledging the religious and cultural diversity in the country, the former Abia governor insists that unity and peaceful co-existence may not be achieved in an environment devoid of respect and tolerance for each other’s mode of worship and cultural belief.
