Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief Whip of the Senate, on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the Okereke family over the loss of their patriach, late Chief Ndidi Okereke.
Okereke, who passed on recently, was a former Abia State Chapter Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking at the condolence visit to his Ngodo Isuochi residence, the former Abia state governor described the loss as shocking, enormous and irreparable, adding however that death is inevitable.
According to the senator, the late Chief Ndidi Okereke was a good, fearless and courageous man.
Kalu expressed the hope that a glorious life awaits him hereafter and urged his wife, his son, Mr. Chisom Okereke, family members and others affected by the death to take heart.
Responding on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Mr Chisom Okereke thanked the senator for identifying with his family in their moment of grief.
Friends and associates, including the Abia State Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Dr. Maduka Ukaegbu, joined Senator Kalu to the condolence visit.
