Senator Orji Uzor Kalu representing Abia North district and the Senate Chief Whip on Wednesday visited Hon Chukwudi Apugo, the Member representing Umuahia East Consistency to commiserate with him over his mum’s death.
In his condolence message, Kalu stated that there two important days in one’s life, the day of birth and the day of death.
ABN TV reports that Kalu further tendered apologies for not being present at the burial due to his busy schedule.
He further said, “ I want to tell you that all of us will die it’s just who goes first, your very lucky that you burring your own mother, your mother did not bury you, it’s a thing of joy, I want you people to leave partisan politics I will continue to play on brotherhood, we should stop killing ourselves about the party if we are one in Christ we should be one and one in body, we should accept ourselves, people should not be killing and blaspheming themselves because of a political party, your mother is no more today, despite our political differences we are here this is how it’s should be to everybody please we want to condone with you sincerely from our heart and also ask God to let your mother’s soul rest in peace because it’s the right thing to do”.

In response Hon. Chukwudi appreciated Sen. Kalu he said, “I want to thank you from my heart cos you have shown leadership in the sense that you have thrown your party aside and you’re here today to condone with my family I want to sincerely, sincerely, sincerely thank you, like I said before you have shown leadership”.
