A prominent community leader in Bende local government area of Abia State, Dr. Barr. Nnamdi Imo has extolled the Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at his 62nd birthday anniversary, describing the former Governor as an icon and epitome of humility.
He said Senator Kalu is a rare breed of human brought into the world, noting that the lawmaker is his mentor, friend, elder brother and confidant.
Barr. Imo, son of former Chief Judge of Abia State, S.M Imo while applauding the Senate Chief Whip for being a man of humility also praised him for his generousity towards fellow humans at all times.
The legal practitioner while speaking with ABN TV on Thursday at Orji Uzor Kalu country home, Igbere in Bende LGA after presenting a birthday gift to the senate chief Whip, said if the likes of Sen. Kalu could be given a chance to lead the country, he will unite it and bring about progress.
“He builds bridges across ethnic and religious groups in Nigeria. Some people who don’t know call him a stooge to the Fulani, that is not true.
“He wants peace, he preaches and practices peace. He wants you to be peaceful with the Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. He doesn’t believe in ethnicity but the unity of Nigeria.
“For him, there is no need to split or divide, he strongly believes in peaceful resolution in a table of dialogue. That is OUK for you. He is a man of the people and I love him,” he said.
He prayed God to continue to strengthen Sen. Kalu, give him good health and long life to continue to serve the state and country at large.
