Salah Signs New Liverpool Deal, Extends Stay

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, has extended his stay at Anfield past the 2024–25 season by signing a new contract with the team.

The Egyptian, who joined the Reds from AS Roma in 2017, is currently enjoying another remarkable campaign, having netted 32 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. Of those, 27 have come in the Premier League, making him the division’s top scorer. He has also registered 22 assists for his teammates so far this term.

Salah, 32, expressed his delight at continuing his journey with the Merseyside club.

“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.

It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.

The news marks a significant boost for manager Arne Slot, who will be hoping to build on Salah’s contributions as Liverpool look to compete for major honours once again.
