The Abia State House of Assembly has decried the prolonged stay in office of the 17 transition committee chairmen in the state-appointed by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, demanding their immediate sack.
The transition committee chairmen appointed 18th December 2019 were meant to serve for the duration of six months.
The House while reacting to a matter of Urgent Public Importance on Monday brought by the Member Representing Isiukwuato State Constituency Hon. Barr Emeka Okoroafor said any further action taken by the 17 Local Government Transition Committee Chairmen from the 17th June 2020 amounts to illegality.
