Former governor of Imo state, Sen. Rochas Okorocha has denied rumours about his death, describing it as the handiwork of mischief makers.
Okorocha’s media aide, Dr. Ebere Nzewuji in a statement titled, “Mischief Makers Spreading Fake News of Okorocha’s Death” said the news spreading on social media in the early evening of Wednesday 6th November 2024 is fake.
According to him, there is no truth in the news alluding to the demise of the former Governor of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha in a London hospital.
In the statement released on Thursday, he said, “At the time of the commencement of the fake news yesterday, Senator Okorocha was at his Unity House Garki Abuja office going about his normal duties.
“He has just returned from Owerri, Imo State where he attended the funeral ceremony of Late Elder Statesman Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu on Friday 1st November 2024 and also hosted at his Spibat Owerri Residence, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu and other Honourable Members of the House of Representatives.
“His Excellency is hale and hearty; continuing his humanitarian works and attending to his numerous private business duties.
“The general public should please disregard the wicked lies from mischief makers.”
