The Borno state governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has rewarded an Abia state indigene, Mrs. Obiageli Mazi for her dedication and commitment as a teacher in the state, ABN TV reports.
Zulum during his early Morning project tour on Friday paid an unscheduled visit to one of the primary schools in Maiduguri where he met Mazi at about 6:46am in the school premises waiting for her pupils.
Impressed with what he saw and having asked her some certain questions, the governor rewarded her with a cash gift.
The governor also said, “as a government, we are mightily proud of you Mrs Obliageli Mazi.”
This was as he assured her of employment after retirement.
Mrs. Obiageli Mazi, claimed she had served for 31 years in Borno.
