A chieftain of APC in Abia State, Rev. Barr. Sally William Chinebu Ph.D has expressed gratitude to God over the release of the senator representing Abia North, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu from the prison on Friday after the Supreme Court of Nigeria voided his conviction.
Rev. Chinebu, who is also the former APC South-East Zonal Women Leader said it is a prayer answered for Kalu, a former governor of Abia state to regain his freedom again after his conviction by federal High Court on allegation bordering on corruption.

In a release made available to ABN TV on Saturday, Rev. Chinebu said the period Sen. Kalu was absent left the people of Abia North like orphans, expressing gratitude that Sen. Kalu, whom she called father, brother and son is back.
She also recalled when she was in Israel earlier in the year where she offered a prayer to God for the freedom of the Federal lawmaker, saying the answer to her prayer came when Sen. Kalu’s freedom came.

She expressed confidence in the capacity of Sen. Kalu who is the Chief Whip of the Senate to offer quality leadership to Abia North and the state in general, maintaining that he will not forget his people.
