The House of Representatives has called on universities and other tertiary institutions to adopt a semester-based school fee payment system to enable students to cope with the current economic situation in the country.
The call followed a resolution on a motion moved by Rep. Sa’ad Wada Taura at the Plenary on Thursday.
Presenting the motion, he said adopting the payment system can minimise the financial strain on students, improve access to higher education, and create a more transparent financial structure for institutions.
