Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency of Abia State, Rep Sam Onuigbo has sent a message of condolence to the Chief Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia Prof. Azubuike Onyebuchi and his entire household over the death of their patriarch, Sir Micah Onyebuchi.
The federal lawmaker in the condolence message he personally signed on Monday said the death of Sir Micah whom he described as an astute administrator and leader, is a huge loss to not only his immediate community of Umuokoo, Amuzukwu Ibeku, Umuahia North LGA, but to Abia as a whole.
He therefore urged the bereaved family to take heart, saying their departed father lived a positively impactful life.
He said, “While we mourn him, we are consoled by the fact that he lived a long life, and impacted positively on the society as is visible in his leadership of Abia State Universal Basic Education (ASUBEB), service to the people of Umuahia North as a Deputy Chairman,and ultimately, in the continuous impact he continues to make in ur lives by gifting us such valuable children as Professor Azubuike Onyebuchi.
“On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of great Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, I condole with the family and pray that God gives them the strength to bear the loss.”
A family source said Sir Onyebuchi who would have clocked 90 in October passed on in the early hours of Saturday.
Chief Sir Micah Onyebuchi is a former Chairman of the Abia State Universal Basic Education (ASUBEB).
A native of Umuokoo, Amuzukwu Ibeku, Umuahia North LGA, Abia State, he was former deputy chairman Umuahia North LGA and a former member of Civil service commission.
