Member representing Bende federal constituency and Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu has praised the life and time of Late Eze. Dr. Aruwa Kalu Nelson (the Uga 1 of Bende Ovu Autonomous Community) saying he was a great king whose legacies will forever be remembered.
Rep Kalu who is also the Spokesperson of the House of Representatives spoke on Friday at the burial of the late traditional ruler in Bende town, Bende LGA, Abia State, ABN TV reports.
The federal lawmaker is also a maternal cousin to late Dr. Aruwa Nelson.
Describing the late Eze a great king, Hon. Kalu also called him a brother cousin who would always support, advice and encourage him.
He expressed a deep sense of loss that he is no more, adding that his death has caused great vacuum in Bende Ovu of Bende LGA.
He said the late traditional ruler will indeed be remember for his philanthropic acts in his community.
Rep. Kalu prayed that God will continually grant his immediate family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss while encouraging them to continue to hold fast on the legacy he left behind.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Ogbonnaya Offor, Hon John Mark, Former Deputy Transition Committee Chairman Bende LGA, Hon P. C Onyegbu, Former House of Assembly Member for Bende South State Constituency, Hon Emmanuel Onwuchekwa, Chairman Bende LGA, Hon fidelis Ochiobi PDP member, Hon Emmanuel Chinedu (Ijiriji) member representing Bende South State Constituency, Hon Jonah Josko, Former APC Bende local government chairman and other dignitaries.
