Rep. Ben Kalu Commiserates With Abia Govt, Family Of Prof. Ikonne Over His Demise

Member representing Bende Federal Constituency and Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu has commiserated with the Abia State Government over the passing of the Former Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Prof. Uchenna Ikonne.

The Representative in a condolence message expressed shock and sadness over the death of the late professor describing him as an accomplished academician and a great Abian who has achieved so much for himself.

Rep. Kalu prayed for God to grant his soul eternal rest while praying comfort and strength to his immediate family as they go through this very difficult time.

He said; “It is with great shock and deep sadness that I received the news of the passing of the Former Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, and Gubernatorial Candidate of Abia PDP, an accomplished academician and a great son of our state.

“Prof. Ikonne was a dedicated public servant and leader who served Abia State making significant impact in the Academic sector. He stands as an inspiration to many and will surely be missed by all who came in contact with him.

“I commiserate with the Abia State Government, the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) and his immediate family over this very unfortunate incident.
It is my prayer that the almighty God grants them the comfort to bear this irreparable loss and grace to go through this very difficult time.
