Reno Omokri, a former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has accused former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode of betraying Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo (fondly called Igboho), and his Biafran counterpart, Nnamdi Kanu.

He made the allegation in a series of tweets reacting to the return of Fani-Kayode to APC on Friday.

“Spiritually-led” Fani-Kayode was received into APC by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Friday in the State House, Abuja.

Before rejoining APC, outspoken FFK was one of the prominent opposition figures in Nigeria.

The former aviation minister had also on numerous occasions celebrated his friendship with Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu, and faulted the Federal Government’s actions against the activists.

Upon returning to APC, many Nigerians reshared a picture of the former Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential campaign media director’s visitation to Igboho.

Omokri wondered why Fani-Kayode rejoined APC after attacking FG for prosecuting Kanu and Igboho.

He likened the former PDP chieftain to ‘Judas Iscariot’.

He explained that former Senator Shehu Sanni’s reported return to PDP is valuable than losing FFK.

He said, “The PDP lost FFK and gained @ShehuSani. I would say that is like Manchester United losing Sergio Romero and gaining Cristiano Ronaldo. That is a net gain. A net gain indeed! Congratulations PDP! Congratulations Shehu Sani!

“You say you are a friend of Sunday Igboho. You called him your brother. You called Nnamdi Kanu your “friend and brother” and one of the most courageous persons you know.

“You see what this demon in human flesh is doing to these freedom fighters, yet you do this? It makes me suspicious.

“How can these two people who were close to you and who confided in you, end up in Buhari’s trap, and then you join his party? This looks like 30 pieces of silver! At this point, I would very much hate to be your friend and brother.”
