Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu ordered the Contractor to remove all barricades into Okigwe Road with immediate effect to allow the people to use the road, since the rehabilitation work on the road had been completed.
The governor gave the order when he arrived Okigwe Road on Saturday, ABN TV reports.
The Governor in a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka also ordered the Commissioner for Works, Barrister Bob Chiedozie Ogu to ensure that the removal of all debris scooped out of the drains must be completed before the end of tomorrow.
