The Minister in charge of Saint Peter’s Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Umuahia, Abia State, Rev. Chinedu Okoroafor has said the rededication of the church sanctuary is an opportunity for members to rededicate their lives to God to further decongest hell and populate heaven.
At the rededication of the church which took place on Sunday, the clergy expressed gratitude to members for their sacrifices and support during the renovation which he said changed the structure of the church.
The renovation, ABN TV gathered included tiling, screeding and fixing of air conditioning devices and other major structural adjustments.
He said the rededication is in line with the practice of the church following the change in its original structure.
Rev. Okoroafor who was assigned to the church October 2020 noted that the success of the renovation would not have been achieved if not the commitment of the members.
He prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon them.
“Not only that we have renovated the church sanctuary, but as the church has been rededicated, we rededicate our lives for God and look with eternity in view in line with the theme of the General Assembly.
“We also move forward to decongest hell and populate heaven” he said.
The Clergy further observed that the decision of the church to run two services is a deliberate effort to observe the COVID-19 protocols, urging members to observe the non pharmaceutical measures to prevent the disease and present themselves for vaccination.
The rededication service was presided over by the Prelate and Moderator of General Assembly of the church, His Eminence, Nzie Nsi Eke.
