It was a Naira rain as laboratory firm, Finlab Nigeria Limited carried out an empowerment programme in Imo State which saw 122 indigenes receiving empowerment packages as part of its 40th anniversary celebration.
The beneficiaries were given cash of N50,000 to N100,000 as grants to establish new businesses or expand their already established businesses.
Speaking at an event to mark the company’s 40th anniversary in Owerri, Imo State, the chief executive officer of Finlab Nigeria Limited, Chief Uzomba Nwaije, said the company’s management decided to use the anniversary to uplift people who have acquired various skills but are not financially able to establish it.
He noted the beneficiaries were selected from five communities in Orlu and Ideato North local Government Areas of Imo State, as part of the celebration to mark the 40 years anniversary of his company.
The communities were Umudioka Ukwu, Umuzike, Umudioka and Owerre Umudioka in Orlu LGA and Isiokpo Community in Ideato North LGA.
