A member of Prof. Charles Soludo Transition Committee, Sir Chikwe Udensi has said the committee will go beyond preparing a blueprint for transition from the governor Willie Obiano-led exco in Anambra State to that of the Governor-elect, saying it will also effectively monitor progress within Prof. Soludo’s 100 days in office.
Sir Udensi, a chieftain of APGA also applauded the quality of individuals assembled by the Governor-elect, Prof. Soludo to be in the committee, saying they are prominent members of the society who have contributed to the development of the country.
Sir Udensi, Interpol Systems Consultant who spoke on a radio programme Open Parliament streamed live on ABN radio on Wednesday was on his way to Anambra for the important assignment of getting the governor-elect to stand on a right footing in leading the state.
He noted that the calibre of people in the 80-man Transition Committee speaks volume on the kind of choice the former CBN governor has made
Sir Udensi a governorship aspirant in Abia said he conducted due diligence on the people especially those he does not know in person who made up the list, expressing satisfaction with how much they have impacted the society.
He said the committee headed by former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has already started discussion virtually, putting together the necessary pathways for inauguration of the committee on Friday.
“I feel very honoured that I am part of it, and I will give in my best like you know” he added.
On the size of the committee, he said the incoming governor selected members based on their area of specialty in education, finance, security and other fields.
He said the committee will set up about 28 sub-committees to ensure it delivers in its mandate, insisting that 80-man is no an over bloated number for the Transition Committee.
