The Youth Ambassador of Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organisation, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, better known as Don Lulu has expressed optimism that the PDP governorship candidate in Abia state, Prof Uche Ikonne if elected will implement policies that will help drive the entertainment industry as well as bring back the night life in the state.

He made this known during an Interactive meeting with the Abia Entertainers Forum earlier on Monday at the Uche Ndi Abia Campaign office in Umuahia the Abia State capital.

Abia Entertainers Forum led by Chinweuba Ubani also known as Xnel paid a solidarity visit to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, governorship flagbearer, during which the group endorsed the candidature of Prof Uche Ikonne for Abia Gubernatorial poll come 2023.

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe who is an entertainment expert and Chairman of 2Flame Entertainment label, stressed that Prof Ikonne has expressed his readiness to implement youth programmes that would help the creative industry to move forward in Abia State

He urged the entertainers to go back and preach the message of Prof Ikonne’s participatory governance mantra, adding that the group didn’t make any mistake in endorsing the PDP governorship candidate.

Said Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu), “if truly we want a future that will benefit our industry, to excel in our creativity, then let’s work with Prof Ikonne.” He assured the group that Prof Ikonne is ready to work with the new generation, describing the PDP flagbearer as young at heart.

The PDP governorship running mate Hon (Barr) Philip Okey Igwe, who represented Prof Ikonne said that entertainment is very visible in the proposed ‘Tiger Economy’ of the incoming administration.

He called on the group to support the PDP and its candidate because entertainment would receive the needed attention under their watch.

He said with the likes of Mayor Igbokwe (Don Lulu) in the Ikonne’s team, entertainment will undoubtedly receive the deserved attention.

Ubani commended Mayor Igbokwe for creating platforms that have helped most Abia entertainers to discover their talents and to flourish.

He expressed confidence that given the pedigree of Prof Ikonne and with Don Lulu in his team, their endorsement of Prof Ikonne would yield the desired results for the entertainment industry.
